Window grills made of 30mm x 8mm solid metal flat bars, infill bars are 12mm solid round metal bars.
Window grills comes with 80mm brackets or legs so you can open the window slightly for fresh air, the grill will be 80mm away from the mounting surface i.e. wall etc. Also see picture of the grill as a fitting guide.
